A Word From Shirley:
Rain, mud, and dangerous thorns couldn't stop us from completing this garden makeover. We were fortunate that the rain lasted only a few hours on day one and then sunny skies to dry things up for us. Speaking of water, my favorite part of this project was the rain-chain fountains that my partner Michael Glassman created from scratch. Michael is a master landscape designer and I look to him as a mentor when it comes to creative water feature design. I've read all his books and recommend that you do the same! His book, Water Works is especially interesting and full of ideas. His latest book, Getaway Gardens- Havens At Home from Sterling Press is available at book stores now and is becoming a bestseller. Make sure to get a copy!
