Garden Police Solution: The first job we tackled was cleaning up the courtyard garden area which was in worse condition than the front yard. In fact, from the curb, the yard looked pretty decent until we took a closer look. The hedges were hiding the Commanders secret garden mess. You could see through some pretty big gaps in the privets so we moved in for our bust. Michael and I decided that some major plants had to go, not because we didn't like them, but they were all declining. This included the birch tree, privet hedges, miscellaneous ground covers, weeds and the "Commander's torture device," a cactus that was planted dangerously close to the entry walkway. Once our area was clear, Michael and I presented our design to Commander Val and his wife Nawana.

(Commander Val Pannicia and wife, Nawana "play innocent.")

(This obsolete sprinkler system was replaced by a
state of the art system by The Rain Bird Corporation.)

(The Birch tree was planted too close to the pavement and was
suffering from bore infestation.)
