Interesting Facts Regarding Cycus revoeluta:
Cycus or sago palms are really not palms at all; rather they are cycads and a part of the conifer or cone bearing family of plants. Cycads date back to the Mesozoic period or Jurassic times when dinosaurs roamed the earth and haven't changed much in the last 200 million years! They are slow growers and the demand for specimen size plants make this one of the most collectible and expensive landscape plants around.
