The Violation: Once we were able to find the front door to the house , we busted the homeowner of this beautiful, but obscured Mediterranean-style home for having a hideous front yard and courtyard! The counts against the homeowner, David, included harboring too many dead plants, ugly patio furniture, general lack of cleanliness and lack of regard for the architecture of the home. Guilty, guilty, guilty! So why was he smiling when we busted him? We weren't there to give him an award for Pete's sake! The yard looked like somewhere Tarzan would stop to hide from the lions!

The lawn was yellow. Dead succulents lined the walled courtyard. A hodgepodge of overgrown plants overtook the front yard and hid a beautiful mature olive tree and arched window. Michael and I were appalled at the neglect but our frustration didn't compare to the frustration of the neighbors who lived next to this botanical botch job everyday. This was one homeowner we couldn't wait to bust.
